Through ENERJ (“Joint Actions for Energy Efficiency”), co-financed by the Interreg MED 2014-2020 programme, aims at increasing and improving the effectiveness of energy efficiency measures in public buildings through the use of open data processing, the promotion of cooperation between local authorities in joint actions on a large scale, and the development of public/private partnerships.
Objective of the project is to develop actions aimed at generating economies of scale among the different actors involved, and achieve significant impacts on energy consumption and emissions of public buildings. The project has a budget of € 2.26 M and a partnership made up of 11 public institutions from 9 different countries.
U-Space has provided technical assistance to the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP) for the implementation of local “focus groups” aimed at drafting a “Joint Action Plan” for energy efficiency, and the organization of local conferences. It also collaborates in the implementation of a web platform for sharing geographic information on the energy characteristics of buildings and the ongoing and prospective actions of energy retrofit. Finally, it will collaborate in the improvement of the competences of public and private actors, helping in the appointment of a “joint actions coordinator” as the person who evaluates, defines, adopts, implements and monitors energy efficiency actions in public buildings.
